I closed out #MischiefMay, celebrating the world-dominating achievements of the comedy masters at Mischief Theatre, with my second of two post-show Q&As to the company’s two current West End hits.

The Comedy About a Bank Robbery was the third West End offering from Mischief, following The Play That Goes Wrong (still running at the Duchess Theatre) and Peter Pan Goes Wrong (which returns for a Christmas run at Alexandra Palace), and recently celebrated its third birthday at the Criterion Theatre at Piccadilly Circus.

It’s Summer 1958 in this fast-paced comedy caper. Minneapolis City Bank has been entrusted with a priceless diamond. An escaped convict is dead set on pocketing the gem with the help of his screwball sidekick, trickster girlfriend… and the maintenance man. With mistaken identities, love triangles and hidden agendas, even the most reputable can’t be trusted. In a town where everyone’s a crook, who will end up bagging the jewel?

After last night’s performance, I was joined by cast members Finlay Paul, Emily Stott, Kieran Mortell, Jenna Augen, Leonard Cook, Jean-Luke Worrell, Dale Mathurin, Gareth Tempest, Jeremy Lloyd, Matthew Cavendish and Jon-Jack Baldwin.

❓How difficult are the stunts?
❓What makes them laugh in the show?
❓What happens each night before the audience arrives?
❓How many roles does an understudy learn?
❓Why is the Mischief community special?
❓How was Broadway?! Do Americans ‘get it’?

This and much more covered! Watch the full post-show Q&A video below. And don’t miss coverage of The Play That Goes Wrong Q&A too.

The Comedy About a Bank Robbery is currently booking at the West End’s Criterion Theatre through May 2020.
